Umbrella Health is a private billing service with fees payable at the time of consultation. This includes Work Cover and TAC consultations as we do not invoice third parties directly.

  • Up-to-date concession cards and a Medicare card must be presented at every appointment.
  • Payment is required at the time of the consultation.
  • For your convenience we accept cash, eftpos or credit card. Personal cheques are not accepted.

Dr. Zoran Zec

Dr. Zoran Zec is a male Medical Practitioner with over 15 years’ experience. Dr Zoran Zec speaks 5 languages, including Bosnian, Croatian, French, Serbian and English. Dr Zoran Zec also has qualification of Fellowship Of The Royal Australian College Of General Practitioners, Specialist In General Surgery, Medical Doctor, Specialist In Plastic And Reconstructive Surgery.

Dr. Thusitha Welendawe

Dr Welendawe’s lengthy medical training began at the University of Colombo, the capital of Sri Lanka, where he graduated with a Bachelor of Medicine and a Bachelor of Surgery.

A year as a resident doctor at a base hospital in Colombo followed before a further three years of training in emergency medicine and surgery at King George Hospital in London.

He arrived in Australia in 2006 where his work and training continued in Queensland before he opted to take on two years as a registrar based in rural communities, initially at Stawell, in Maryborough. Victoria.

He has obtained a fellowship with the Royal Australian College of General Practitioners by completing the Australian GP training programme. Dr Welendawe’s has more than twelve years GP experience in Australia.

His main interests are chronic diseases and men’s health.

Gelareh-Totonchi

Dr. Gela Totonchi – Starting Jan 2020

With over 10 years of experience as a General Practitioner, Gela has worked in some of the most underprivileged areas of Iran while receiving her primary medical degree. After moving to Australia she received her fellowship from the Royal Australian College of General Practitioners. Working as a full-time GP in both Queensland and Victoria, she simultaneously pursued her training in Women’s health as her main area of interest. She enjoys all aspects of General Practice and welcomes all patients with her open heart and professional experience.
Gela is fluent in English and Farsi/Persian.

Areas of Interest are: Children’s Health, Travel Medicine, Mental Health, Women’s Health such as Contraception (including Mirena/ Copper IUD, Implanon insertion), Pregnancy Choices, Preconception, Antenatal and postnatal care (including shared care), Menopause and Sexual Health (including STI screening and PrEP).

Britt

Britt Madden – Dietitian – Starting Jan 2020

Britt is an Accredited Practising Dietitian and Accredited Nutritionist with a Bachelor of Nutrition and Dietetics, with previous training in Pharmacy. She has a passion for preventative health and nutrition therapy and loves being able to empower people to optimise their health.  She is committed to patient care and being able to provide practical evidence-based strategies to enable people to develop healthy relationships with food and improve their nutrition health.  She has experience in both hospital and private practice setting and also enjoys running workshops and public speaking events to raise the profile of nutrition in the community.  Britt is a lover of all things sporting related, also being a personal trainer and competing in triathlons. She is a new mum who enjoys time spent with family, creating new recipes and cooking for her family!

Her areas of interest include: diabetes management, metabolic syndrome, heart disease, weight management, sport nutrition, real food nutrition and food intolerance.

As a Practice Manager at Umbrella Health, I am the go-to person behind the scenes but often assists in all aspects of the clinic.

I passionately believe and connect with the company’s mission to go beyond an average medical centre to provide the highest quality of patient care in a compassionate environment that upholds the core values and provides exceptional patient service.

I am dedicated to all needs of the patient who walks into our clinic with the hope of excellent care and assist in collaborating with Health Professionals to achieve the same. I like reading fiction and inspirational books. My favourite book at all times has been Alchemist by Paulo Coelho. I am also compassionate about women’s empowerment, health and well being.
